Our client, based in Pembroke, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to develop their customer base across Southwest Wales and surrounding areas.
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer accounts and building strong customer relationships. The role will involve customer visits, identifying new opportunities and providing practical, technically informed solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow new and existing customer accounts.
- Build strong relationships with customers and key decision makers.
- Visit customers and prospects to identify new opportunities.
- Follow up enquiries and quotations to maximise sales.
- Develop opportunities from enquiry through to order.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and CRM records.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Work closely with internal sales and engineering teams.
- Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.
What is required from you:
- Previous experience in industrial sales, technical sales or business development.
- Confident and commercially driven with strong sales ability.
- Comfortable developing new business and building customer relationships.
- Industrial market knowledge across Pembrokeshire and Southwest Wales would be advantageous.
- Experience with process instrumentation, valves, controls, pipeline products or similar would be beneficial.
- Engineering background or qualification advantageous but not essential.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive and customer focused approach.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own territory.
- Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
