The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly driven UK Sales Manager to lead and inspire our retail teams across all UK locations. This is a critical role responsible for orchestrating sales performance, embedding a culture of excellence, and ensuring our brand vision comes to life in every store. If you are passionate about fragrance, thrive in a fast paced retail environment, and are excited by the challenge of managing a diverse national team, this is the role for you.
This role requires extensive travel across the UK and occasionally to Europe, including regular overnight stays, to support and coach your teams on the ground. Given the nature of retail, flexibility to work weekends, especially during peak trading periods, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales & Performance Management:
• Develop in conjunction with Head of Sales execute the national retail sales strategy to achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets across all UK sites.
• Drive sales performance across designated locations through rigorous KPI management, including metrics such as Average Sale Price (ASP), Sales Mix,
Conversion Rates, Average Transaction Value (ATV), and Units Per Transaction (UPT).
• Use data-driven insights to identify trends, capitalise on opportunities, and address underperformance. Proactively seek to increase the number of transactions year-on year, encourage positive Google reviews to enhance local store reputation, and actively enrol new customers into the Sunnamusk Loyalty Program to drive retention and repeat business.
• Implement and monitor effective sales incentives and recognition programs to motivate store teams.
• Forecast sales, manage budgets, and contribute to overall financial planning for the retail division.
• Proactively identify and respond to market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to optimise sales strategies.
2. People Management & Development:
• Lead by example and inspire a high-performing team of Sales Managers across the UK.
• Oversee the effective recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of retail management and sales staff.
• Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy sales culture where excellence is celebrated and continuous improvement is encouraged.
• Ensure effective communication channels are maintained between Head Office, the Sales Manager, and all retail stores.
• Act as a role model for customer service and sales excellence, embedding the "Sunnamusk customer service" and brand values across the network.
3. Operational Excellence & Brand Standards:
• Ensure uncompromising execution of all retail operations, visual merchandising guidelines, and brand standards across every store.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess operational efficiency, compliance, and sales performance, providing on-site coaching and support. Spend time on the shop floor to support the teams and understand individual store dynamics.
• Collaborate with the Marketing, Operations and Product teams to effectively launch new products and execute promotional campaigns.
• Ensure all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant retail codes of conduct.
4. Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders including Head Office teams (Operations, HR, Marketing, Finance).
• Develop and nurture effective relationships with external partners, such as shopping centre management and key contacts, to maximise sales opportunities and brand visibility.
• Represent Sunnamusk at industry events, trade shows, and company conferences as required.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and present comprehensive weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance reports, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Utilise sales data and market insights to refine strategies and improve profitability.
• Oversee accurate completion of all retail reporting, including payroll inputs and month-end reconciliations.

Experience & Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a multi-site retail sales management role with a minimum of 5 years experience ideally within fragrance, beauty, or a related premium product category.
• Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive retail environment.
• Strong experience in leading, coaching, and developing large teams across multiple locations.
• Expertise in utilising KPIs and sales analytics to drive performance and identify commercial opportunities.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and retail management systems.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
