About Ourselves
Sunlight Children’s Care provide a therapeutic children's residential service, offering a variety of residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 – 18 who may display emotional and challenging behaviours (EBD). The young people placed within our services have often experienced significant adversity and trauma in their young lives and may no longer be able to reside within their familial or foster home.

Registered Manager Position
- We are seeking a qualified Registered Manager to be responsible for the smooth running of our 2-bed Residential Children’s Home in Derby.
- The Registered Manager is to ensure the provision of high-quality care is given to our young people in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Ofsted and all other statutory and regulatory requirements.
- The Registered Manager will promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of our young people and be responsible for the development and supervision of their team, encouraging professional progression where applicable.
- The ideal candidate for the Registered Manager's role should have a passion for working with young people and be committed to improving the lives of the young people we care for.
- You should have strong leadership skills within a Children’s Residential Care setting, along with 2 years previous experience in residential management.
- In return, we can provide access to opportunities for development both personally and professionally and progression within the company, as well as training and access to CPD.
- Working hours are 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday), with the requirement on occasion to work such hours over and above your normal weekly pattern as reasonably required.
- This would also involve being placed on a 5-week rota to provide out of hours emergency on call.
Qualification
- For the Registered Manager position, we require a Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management or near to completing.
- Transferable qualifications may be considered but must be recognised by Ofsted in order to pass 'fit person' Ofsted registration.
- A Full UK driving licence is required.
