We are seeking a versatile, forward-thinking Videographer and Motion Designer with 5+ years of experience to join our in-house creative team. Operating in a hybrid capacity, this role serves as the critical bridge between our internal marketing team and external agency partners. You will balance rapid, autonomous in-house creation with the high-level management of external creative productions.
This position requires comprehensive mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Crucially, you must know how to natively integrate emerging AI video, audio, and automation tools directly into the production lifecycle to serve as an efficiency multiplier.
Whether you are flying solo on location, generating custom 2D animations for social media, or directing an external agency to edit TVC or onset filming, you will ensure total visual consistency, technical excellence, and brand integrity across all channels.
Core Responsibilities
- On-location and In-office production (50%)
- Autonomous direction: Lead and direct video shoots independently on-site and at external locations (events, client sites, studio spaces).
- Technical execution: Operate multi-camera setups, design professional 3-point lighting schemes, and capture broadcast-quality audio.
- Talent management: Direct and coach internal staff, stakeholders, and executives to deliver natural, confident on-camera performances.
- Logistics and scouting: Conduct location scouting and manage technical production gear logistics for travel and field shoots.
- Advanced editing and animation (40%)
- Narrative editing: Assemble compelling narratives for mini-documentaries, podcasts, case studies, and product campaigns.
- Motion graphics and 2D animation: Build custom animated assets, including kinetic typography, UI/UX software walkthroughs, complex lower thirds, and animated explainer videos from scratch.
- Social optimisation: Version out master edits into platform-specific formats (9:16, 1:1, short-form cutdowns) tailored for LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and paid media.
- Finishing: Perform high-end post-production tasks including precision colour grading, audio sweetening, sound design, and mixing.
- Strategy and asset management (10%)
- Pre-production: Collaborate with the wider marketing team to storyboard, script, and conceptualise campaigns based on performance data and marketing briefs.
- Brand custody: Ensure all video and animated assets strictly align with corporate brand guidelines, maintaining premium visual consistency.
- Media management: Oversee the secure backup, logging, and organisation of large-scale raw video files and animation project libraries on cloud/local servers.
Role Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience working as a videographer/editor, ideally within an agency or in-house corporate marketing team.
- Animation skillset: Strong, demonstrable secondary expertise in 2D animation and motion design. Experience creating kinetic text, logo reveals, and abstract vector animations is essential.
- Software mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator (for prepping asset vectors), and Photoshop.
- Equipment knowledge: Complete comfort setting up mirrorless/cinema camera packages, professional lighting (LED panels, soft boxes), and audio gear under tight location schedules.
- Work structure: Ability to operate efficiently in a hybrid work environment – balancing independent remote editing days with collaborative, fast-paced shoot days on location.
- Portfolio: A diverse showreel showcasing high-production value work, clean editing rhythm, and clear examples of integrated motion graphics/animation.
Benefits and perks
- Company Pension: Standard Life workplace scheme with competitive employer contributions.
- Comprehensive health insurance: Full private medical cover included from day one, covering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care.
- Flexible hybrid model: Split your week between comfortable remote editing days and dynamic, creative on-location shoots and in office collaboration with the Senior Art Director.
