Overview
SunLife UK is seeking a PR, Content & Social Media Manager in Bristol. You will help create and deliver SunLife’s content marketing strategy, understand our customers and brand purpose, and help us achieve our brand objectives. This role involves planning, optimising and distributing successful content, social & PR campaigns across social networks, the SunLife website and outreach material including PR.
Key responsibilities
- You’ll manage agency, partner and key stakeholder relationships on content projects, develop briefs, review agency ideas and creative delivery, ensure work meets the brief and marketing objectives, maintain high-quality output, and take overall responsibility for final delivery.
- You’ll manage your own content, social & PR projects, developing ideas that meet the brand strategy and acquisition campaign plans. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end delivery, including writing blogs and articles, managing the design of written and video content, and developing comprehensive comms & distribution plans to achieve reach against KPIs (including social engagement, PR reach and web visits).
- You’ll create LifeHub content (written and video) produced by you, in-house Creatives and external suppliers. You’ll ensure content aligns with the LifeHub content plan and use data to inform future content, drawing inspiration from external trends.
- You’ll identify opportunities to improve brand visibility, answer customer needs, and leverage SunLife’s brand partnerships to develop shared content, PR and social content and comms opportunities.
- You’ll have an analytical approach, using tools such as Google Analytics, Brandwatch and Facebook Insights to understand and report content performance, while monitoring competitors and social trends.
- You’ll collaborate with a digital delivery team to brief website changes and suggest web improvements to boost content engagement.
- You’ll maintain records for content & PR activity, analyse results against KPIs, and manage key finance, supplier and risk records and controls.
How you’ll be successful (measures)
- Ideation, creation and delivery of the content strategy across the year, aligned with wider business goals and measurable KPIs.
- Produce high-quality, newsworthy content on time and on budget, whether self-delivered or via partners, meeting KPIs (blogs, press releases, product articles, reports and videos).
- Monthly production of insightful KPIs and regular communication on successes and milestones.
- Monitor competitors and social trends, flag important findings to the team with recommended actions.
- Work with the Marketing team to ensure product content aligns with wider business goals.
- Follow up with the digital delivery team on website content production or changes to improve engagement.
- Demonstrate ongoing competence in financial promotion regulations where applicable.
