The Copywriter role at SunLife is a great opportunity to partner with our Senior Art Director to create a strong creative team supporting SunLife’s marketing campaigns and visual identity. You’ll be using your skills to deliver concise persuasive copy, and bring creativity and conceptual ability. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll work closely with Designers and the Marketing team to deliver clear, compliant and effective copy across multiple channels. Our business is almost entirely direct-marketing focused so you’ll need to be comfortable with copy designed to provoke action.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll apply your creative and conceptual experience to deliver copy across multiple financial products.
  • You’ll work across a range of media including mail packs, inserts, press ads, door drops, TV, radio, META, web copy, email and more.
  • You’ll build a passionate understanding of how to engage the over-50s customer.
  • You’ll be able to flex between different products such as life insurance, equity release, funeral plans, travel insurance and general insurance.
  • You’ll build challenging creative that engages our customers to respond and buy.
  • You’ll be quick to take a brief and produce relevant, customer-centric copy.
  • You’ll quickly be able to understand the Regulatory Guidelines for our industry, which will be applied to your copy.

  • You’ll demonstrate an inquisitive mind that enables you to get to the nub of the brief.
  • You’ll work with Compliance to ensure copy meets regulatory requirements.
  • You’ll quality control your own work to ensure minimal re-work is required.
