The Copywriter role at Sunlife is a great opportunity to partner with our Senior Art Director to create a strong creative team supporting SunLife’s marketing campaigns and visual identity. You’ll be using your skills to deliver concise persuasive copy, but we’d also like you to bring some creativity and conceptual ability. On a day‑to‑day basis, you’ll work closely with Designers and the Marketing to deliver clear, compliant and effective copy across multiple channels. Our business is almost entirely direct‑marketing focused so you’ll need to be comfortable with copy designed to provoke action.
Here’s what you’ll do for us:
- You’ll apply your creative and conceptual experience to deliver copy across multiple financial products.
- You’ll work across a range of media including mail packs, inserts, press ads, door drops, TV, radio, META, webcopy, email and more.
- You’ll build a passionate understanding of how to engage the over‑50s customer.
- You’ll be able to flex between different products such as life insurance, equity release, funeral plans, travel insurance and general insurance.
- You’ll build challenging creative that engages our customers to respond and buy.
- You’ll be quick to take a brief and produce relevant, customer‑centric copy.
- You’ll quickly be able to understand the Regulatory Guidelines for our industry, which will be applied to your copy.

- You’ll work with Compliance to ensure copy meets regulatory requirements.
- You’ll quality control your own work to ensure minimal re‑work is required.
