As our ESS Delivery Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage projects from contract award through commissioning and handover.   • Lead the end-to-end delivery of ESS and BESS projects across the UK, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, scope, and quality expectations.
  • Own the project execution strategy, including schedules, resource plans, cost control, risk registers, and mitigation actions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, EPC partners, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims, payment milestones, and project reporting in close collaboration with commercial and legal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engineering, supply chain, logistics, service, commissioning, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution and successful site handover.
  • Lead project governance, resolve escalations, and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and post-project reviews.

Your profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • +2 years experience in project coordination, project management, delivery, or operations, ideally within ESS, solar, electrical infrastructure, construction, or another technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects from contract award through commissioning, acceptance testing, and customer handover.
  • Strong knowledge of BESS technology, electrical systems, grid connection interfaces, construction activities, and commissioning processes.
  • Solid experience in contract management, budget ownership, change control, risk management, and stakeholder negotiation.
  • Confident leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural project teams.
  • English C1; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally within Europe.
