Your mission

We are excited to introduce an opportunity for you to grow Sungrow’s presence in one of Europe’s most dynamic clean-energy markets. As our Business Development Manager, you will build meaningful partnerships, identify new opportunities, and help customers bring solar and energy storage projects to life.

  • Develop new business opportunities and strategic customer relationships across the UK renewable energy market.
  • Build and grow a strong network of distributors, EPCs, developers, investors, utilities, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Analyse market developments, customer requirements, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to shape local growth plans.
  • Create and execute market strategies that support revenue targets, sustainable profitability, and market-share growth.
  • Manage the full business-development cycle, from lead generation and qualification through proposal support, negotiation, and handover.
  • Work closely with internal technical, service, marketing, and product teams to deliver compelling customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, market insights, and performance reports.
  • Represent Sungrow at customer meetings, trade fairs, industry events, and relevant conferences across the UK.

Your profile

Sounds exciting, right? To feel confident and successful in this role, your background could look like this:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in business development, sales, key account management, or project development within renewable energy, solar PV, energy storage, or a related technical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK energy market, including commercial structures, customer needs, and relevant market stakeholders.
  • Confidence in building trusted, long-term relationships and translating customer needs into commercially attractive solutions.
  • A strategic and commercially minded approach, supported by solid negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools and Microsoft Office to manage opportunities, analyse data, and prepare clear reports.
  • English at C1 level; additional European languages or Mandarin are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally internationally.
