We are looking for a Learning Disability Support Manager to work in our Learning Disability service. You will be part of a strong team supporting people living in their own home to live a happy and fulfilling life. You can make a positive difference to the people we support every day and always promote their independence.

The Role

You will be one of 4 Support Managers within our large Independent Futures Learning Disability Team. You will take full responsibility for the daily operation of your allocated supported living services and support your staff teams and other colleagues. You will be supported by and work as directed by our Registered Manager in the daily running and management of the services. You will be contracted for 150 hours over every 4‑week pay period. You must be able to work flexibly to ensure our services are operationally protected. You will also be part of an on‑call rota that will be shared between the managers; we work closely with you to ensure a good work‑life balance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of senior management experience within an LD service, including significant experience of managing a large team.
  • Level 4/5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Suitable current UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

Location

You will be based at Enterprise House in North Hylton Road, Sunderland SR5 3AD, however you will also be carrying out a significant amount of field work in the Sunderland area.
