We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and caring individual to join our team supporting our Breakfast Club and After School Club within a friendly primary school setting. This role involves helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children before and after the school day.

The working hours are:

  • Breakfast Club – 7:30am – 9:00am, Monday to Friday
  • After School Club – 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Monday to Thursday
  • Friday – 3:00pm – 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in a range of age-appropriate activities
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of simple, healthy snacks and breakfasts
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times
  • Promote positive behaviour and support social development
  • Set up and tidy away club resources and spaces
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children and have a Level 2 certificate (or be working towards)
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided)
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training, including first aid and Food Hygiene

Hudson Road Primary School safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to responding in accordance with Sunderland Local Safeguarding Procedures. The above post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
