Teaching Assistant Vacancy

St Benetandrsquo\’s RC Primary School – Fulwell Road, Sunderland SR6 9QU.

Start Date: 1st September 2026. Salary: Grade E (SCP 7-9) £26,403 – £27,254 pro rata. Contract: Temporary one-year initial. Shift pattern: 30 hours per week, term time only plus 5 PD days.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage behaviour effectively.
  • Contribute to planning and promoting progress.
  • Flexible, adaptable, good organisation and communication.
  • Work as part of a team, excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and ethos.

Qualifications:

  • Exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
