Salary: Grade 5, SCP12 to SCP17 FTE - £28,598 - £31,022 Pro rata TTO + 7 days - £24,526 - £26,605

Contract: Permanent, full-time, term time only (38 weeks, plus 7 days)

The Governors and Headteacher of St Benet’s RC VA Primary school wish to appoint a School Business Lead from 1st September 2026. We wish to appoint an experienced, passionate and innovative School Business Lead to join our outstanding team and work with our wonderful staff and children.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • The running and organisation of the School Office
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Being the first point of contact for visitors to the school

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven office experience and the ability to manage office systems
  • Be able to plan for and implement new initiatives to further improve the running of the school office efficiently
  • Have the ability to manage their time effectively, use initiative, and be professional with a flexible attitude
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection (GDPR), reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others
  • Communicate and co-operate with persons or agencies outside the school
  • Work with school leaders to build an effective partnership
