Brew & Bake at City Hall is a modern and vibrant cafe serving specialty teas and coffees and a wide range of fresh, tasty and nutritious sandwiches, soups, salads and baked goods. As part of Sunderland City Council, the team also provides a hospitality catering function for events and meetings in City Hall and other locations across the city.
We are looking to recruit to a post of Hospitality Team Member Grade 1 on a Permanent Variable Hours (PVH) basis, i.e. number of work hours and work patterns will vary dependent on the needs of the business. The position will include covering for staff absences / providing holiday cover and assisting in the delivery of events, which will include evening and weekend working.
The general responsibilities are to assist in the preparation and serving of a high-quality food and drink offer and working as part of a team to ensure that every customer feels welcomed and looked after.
The applicants should have previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment and a desire to develop a career in a modern catering environment.
