An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Maintenance Operative (Multi Skill).
The role involves working in domestic and commercial buildings, carrying out a range of technical and non-technical trade activities to deliver capital works and disabled adaptations to domestic properties.
Working alongside colleagues within the Repairs and Maintenance Team, you will ensure work is delivered to a high standard, meeting quality and performance expectations.
The post holder will perform tasks such as joinery, basic plumbing, ceramic tiling, plastering, and decoration as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring all work is of high quality, providing excellent customer service, and completing work on time and within budget.
Our focus is on improving and developing the service to provide a sustainable solution for all customers. This role is key to driving this ambition forward.
Applicants must have a relevant trade qualification and experience in multi-skilled activities. Experience in a busy operational repairs and maintenance department is advantageous.
A full driving license is required, and a works vehicle will be provided upon appointment.
