Sunderland City Council are looking to recruit a permanent Income Management Officer to work within the Income Management Team. The successful applicant will manage a caseload of accounts relating to Adult Social Care raised on Controcc and SAP finance systems and deal with recovery of contribution based debt.
You should enjoy working in a busy, ever-changing environment with a varied workload and be able to manage your work within the required timescales. The main objective of the post is the maximisation of income by effective administration.
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, debt recovery and Legal and Enforcement protocols would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills, be IT literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications. You will need to have a high level of numeracy, good organisational skills, excellent customer service skills and be able to work to deadlines.
This post requires you to explain and deal with complicated information, negotiate and secure payments to achieve optimum collection rates but at the same time work accurately to achieve results.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
