Overview
Sunderland City Council are looking to recruit a permanent Income Management Officer to work within the Income Management Team. The successful applicant will manage a caseload of accounts relating to Adult Social Care raised on Controcc and SAP finance systems and deal with recovery of contribution based debt. You should enjoy working in a busy, ever-changing environment with a varied workload and be able to manage your work within the required timescales.
Responsibilities
- Maximise income by effective administration.
- Manage a caseload of Adult Social Care accounts raised on Controcc and SAP finance systems.
- Deal with recovery of contribution-based debt.
- Explain and deal with complicated information, negotiate and secure payments to achieve optimum collection rates while maintaining accuracy and timely delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, debt recovery and Legal and Enforcement protocols would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, IT literacy and competence in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of numeracy, good organisational skills, and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and handle a varied workload in a busy environment.
