Sunderland City Council is seeking a permanent Engineer for the Highways Operations Team to deliver frontline services and improve coordination of mainstream services responsive to local needs.

Location: Office/site based.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver frontline services and improve coordination and delivery of mainstream services that are responsive to local needs.
  • Prepare, design and implement highway schemes.
  • Provide contract and site management working with both internal teams and external contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK/EEC driving licence.
  • Prepared to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able and prepared to meet the travel requirements of the post.
  • Willing to work flexible or additional hours to meet business needs.
