The Opportunity
Are you passionate about creating positive and memorable experiences for children? As our Matchday Crèche Supervisor, you will lead the delivery of a safe, welcoming, and engaging crèche service for the children of players aged under 2 on matchdays. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the crèche, planning fun and inclusive activities, supporting staff, and ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety are maintained. You will also manage registration and collection procedures, build positive relationships with families and club staff, and help create an environment where children can thrive while parents focus on the match. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the matchday experience, ensuring every child enjoys a fun, safe, and memorable visit.
What We Ask For
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with children in a childcare, educational, or recreational setting, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with players and their families. A genuine passion for creating positive experiences for children, especially in a sports-related environment, is essential. Relevant certifications, such as First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Early Years Practitioner (Level 2), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Childcare and Safeguarding are essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. Flexibility to work during matchdays, including weekends and evenings, is also required. An Enhanced DBS from Sunderland AFC is required.
