The Opportunity: SAFc is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The role involves supporting various accounting functions, including:

  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations (including currency accounts)
  • Assisting with management accounts and month-end processes
  • Preparing and reconciling daily and monthly ticketing reports
  • Preparing and entering journal entries
  • Liaising with the Payroll Department for salary deductions and P11d reports
  • Producing debtor reports to follow up on late payments
  • Handling player-related bank payments
  • Conducting monthly currency revaluations
  • Managing player on-loan invoicing
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register

What We Ask For: The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, with good prioritisation skills to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. You should have proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200, and experience with ticketing systems such as SeatGeek would be advantageous. Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred. AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential. The right candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient, with a proactive approach to their work. You will be required to obtain a Basic DBS through SAFC.
