About Us

sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what's expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.

About the Role

As VP of Marketing at sunday, you will own the global marketing strategy and execution that turns our growth ambition into qualified pipeline, revenue contribution, and a stronger market presence across France, the UK, and the US. You will lead demand generation, digital, paid and organic acquisition, events, referrals, brand, communications, and PR as one integrated growth engine. This is a CMO-track role with broad ownership and the opportunity to define how marketing scales at sunday. You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and own the full global marketing function. You will manage the Head of Brand & PR and the in-market and regional marketers, with expectations to grow the team substantially as we expand the marketing function across the globe. This role can be based in New York City or London, combining close in-person collaboration with regular travel across our markets. Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey!

Key Responsibilities

  • Own sunday's global marketing strategy and execution across demand generation, digital, events, referrals, brand, communications, and PR, with accountability for pipeline and revenue contribution.
  • Serve as a core member of the executive go-to-market leadership team, partnering with Sales, Product, Partnerships, Customer Success, Finance, and RevOps to shape GTM strategy and commercial trade-offs.
  • Translate company growth objectives into marketing strategy, investment priorities, operating plans, and measurable outcomes across regions, segments, and channels.
  • Own all paid and organic customer acquisition channels, providing clear reporting on performance, pacing, experiments, and next actions to the executive team.
  • Manage the marketing and media budget, annual growth targets, forecasting, channel allocations, and changes in spend strategy, using CAC, LTV, pipeline contribution, and efficiency metrics to guide investment.
  • Continuously improve SEO and website conversion, including AEO/GEO, machine-readable content, and sunday's visibility in AI-assisted search and buyer research.
  • Own and scale the referral and events programs across markets, increasing brand visibility and turning activity into qualified pipeline.
  • Run brand, communications, and PR end-to-end, including earned-channel influence, customer communications, and the hiring and development of a high-performing global marketing team.

About You

  • 12-15+ years of B2B SaaS or enterprise technology marketing experience, with leadership responsibility for growth, demand generation, or revenue marketing; restaurant technology experience is especially relevant.
  • 4-6+ years at VP level or as the most senior marketing leader in an organisation, with experience managing distributed, multi-market teams internationally.
  • A proven track record of building and scaling growth engines that deliver predictable pipeline, revenue contribution, and ROI through integrated digital, brand/PR, field, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS subscription models, unit economics, and sales/GTM motions, with a track record tying growth activity to pipeline, revenue, CAC, and efficiency outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience running paid media and organic acquisition, plus strong measurement instincts and the ability to build attribution and testing frameworks.
  • An executive-level communicator who can influence cross-functional stakeholders, translate data into strategic decisions, and represent marketing in commercial trade-offs.
  • An AI-first mindset, with hands-on experience using AI to improve marketing execution, personalisation, analytics, and team productivity.
  • An experienced people leader who has built and developed high-performing teams and other leaders, with a coaching style that empowers rather than controls and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
