About Us
sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.
About The Role
As a Product Manager at sunday, your goal is to own high-impact product problems and drive real business outcomes. Depending on priorities, you may work on areas such as merchant experience (dashboards, insights, communications), staff tools, or core guest flows. Your role is not just to build features, but to ensure what we ship is used, understood, and creates measurable value for restaurants in their day-to-day operations. You will report to the Head of Product. This role is based primarily in Paris, with London also considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a product area end-to-end, from strategy to execution, even when the scope is ambiguous.
- Own both build and run: ensure reliability, data accuracy, and real usage in production.
- Solve problems end-to-end, not feature by feature (e.g., increasing upsell by improving the full experience across menu discovery, ordering, payment, and post-payment — not just one part of the flow).
- Build and maintain a structured roadmap aligned with business priorities, merchant needs, and platform vision.
- Align stakeholders (engineering, design, ops, sales, customer success) around product decisions and trade-offs.
- Translate merchant insights and data into sharp, actionable product narratives that drive alignment and clarity.
- Success is defined by business impact and behavior change, not feature delivery.
- Drive measurable improvements on operational metrics such as: tips per waiter / per shift, upsell conversion during ordering or payment, payment success rate and reduction of failed transactions, time to complete a payment and impact on table turnover.
- Work in tight loops with engineers and designers to ship fast without losing product craft.
- Communicate progress, risks, and learnings proactively across the team.
About You
- You care deeply about the customer, but you weigh every data point — not just the loudest voice.
- You make problems sharp and obvious so engineers and designers can own the solution.
- You build trust through clarity and context, not authority.
- Alignment is your superpower.
- You thrive in ambiguity and can turn it into structured plans and decisions.
- You make priorities clear when others don’t, and you push back when needed.
- 3+ years of product management experience in a fast-moving, product-led environment.
- Strong track record of driving measurable business impact through product.
- You are comfortable working on complex problems involving product, engineering, data, and operations.
- You take ownership beyond delivery: you care about usage, issues, and iteration in real conditions.
- Comfortable defining and tracking success metrics with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English (French a plus).
- Based in Paris (ideally) or London, with 3 days/week in office.
- Bonus: exposure to restaurant/hospitality tech, CRM, customer engagement platforms, or B2B SaaS.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: 70–80k€ (Paris) / £80–90k (London)
- Stock options
- A great office in the heart of Paris (10th arrondissement) or London with a balance of in-person and remote work
- Free Vacation Policy
