About Us sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants.

With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds.

We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction.

Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights.

We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.

About The Role sunday doubles in size every year, and we need a TA leader who is two steps ahead.

Not someone who manages inbound, but someone who builds the machine: scalable pipelines, data-driven processes, a strong employer brand, and a team that delivers consistently regardless of individual hiring manager involvement.

As Head of Talent Acquisition, your mission is to transform sunday's recruiting into a world-class function.

You'll own end-to-end recruitment across all departments and all markets: France, UK, and US; and build the infrastructure, the culture, and the habits that make exceptional hiring the norm.

You'll report directly to the Chief People Officer and be a key voice with leaders.

This is a rare opportunity to shape not just how we hire, but the trajectory of the entire company, because every hire shapes our culture and our future.

Joining now means building the function from the ground up, at exactly the moment it matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across all departments: you lead the full recruiting lifecycle: scoping, sourcing, assessment, offer, and onboarding, ensuring 100% of roles are filled on time with clearly defined time-to-fill targets per role type and rigorous weekly pipeline reporting.
  • Build a scalable, data-driven TA function: you design and implement standardised workflows, ATS hygiene (≥95%), scorecards, and structured interview processes that deliver consistency at scale.

You publish a weekly TA dashboard tracking pipeline, conversion rates, bottlenecks, sourcing mix, and recruiter KPIs, and you hold the team accountable to it.

  • Drive outbound sourcing: you shift sunday's sourcing mix from reactive to proactive, targeting ≥30% of hires from outbound, sourced, and passive pipelines (vs. ~6% today).

You go after the talent you want rather than waiting for it to come to you.

  • Manage and scale the TA team: you lead, coach, and upskill the existing TA team, setting clear performance expectations and enabling each recruiter to close ≥5 roles/month once ramped.

You build a team that performs, not one that depends on heroics.

  • Build employer brand and talent attraction strategy: you drive a 30% increase in inbound candidate volume through employer brand initiatives, strategic partnerships, and targeted content.

You build sunday's reputation as a destination for exceptional talent across France, UK, and US.

  • Own strategic workforce planning: you maintain a 12-month rolling hiring plan with quarterly updates, ensuring ≥90% of hires are aligned to business forecasts.

You run monthly TA/Business reviews with leadership to assess progress, risks, and resourcing needs.

  • Deliver market intelligence: you provide quarterly benchmarks on compensation, competitors, and talent availability; ensuring sunday's offers and positioning remain top-of-market in every geography.

About You

  • You have a proven track record at a fast-scaling tech startup or scaleup, you know what a 2× growth trajectory looks like and you've thrived in it
  • You have experience building or transforming a TA function, not just running one. You have managed top performing teams
  • You have a hunter mentality: you don't wait for applications, you go after the talent you want and build pipelines from scratch
  • You own your KPIs: time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate (≥90%), candidate NPS (≥60), hiring manager satisfaction (≥8/10); you measure yourself by outcomes, not activity

You're business-first: you speak the language of leaders, not just HR, and every decision you make ties back to ROI and business impact

  • Nice-to-haves
  • An existing network in the tech/fintech talent space across France, UK, and/or US
  • Experience at companies known for top TA practices
  • Multi-market recruiting experience across Europe and the US

Who You Are

  • You have a bias to action: you build, iterate, and move fast without waiting for perfect conditions or external validation
  • You hold the highest bar and never settle for "good enough" in hiring quality
  • You're a trust builder: candidates, hiring managers, and business leaders love working with you
  • You're resilient, self-driven, and deeply ambitious; you choose challenge over comfort
  • You think unconventionally and bring fresh angles to old problems, grounded in data
