Retail Sales Specialist
The Retail Sales Specialist’s primary responsibility is to generate in-store sales. The Retail Sales Specialist is under the supervision of the Account Executive and contributes to brand awareness and retail sales to influence Sunday Riley’s in-store success.
About the Role
The Retail Sales Specialist is accountable for sales performance, ATV/AUS growth, personal development and growth of the customer database by providing excellent & exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate must enjoy the retail environment and have a strong background in the beauty industry, sales and customer experience. Professional Beauty Therapy qualifications would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all potential/actual customers.
- Consistently achieve and deliver the KPI targets.
- Develop excellent in-store relationships with management/peers.
- Know and understand sales achievements, figures and data and have personal accountability for all deliverables.
Product Knowledge
- Demonstrate in depth and fluent knowledge of all Sunday Riley products, collections, features and benefits through detailed training with the education team.
- Have personal accountability for learning and development including own research and asking the back‑office team for additional learning and questions.
- Attend all training provided and contribute to a group learning environment.
- Have wide skincare knowledge in general and understand all methods, techniques, layering and suitability of the Sunday Riley products.
- Be able to answer all customer’s needs to recommend the exact products suited to them.
Store Environment
- Achieve and maintain an excellent retail environment with the highest standards in all areas of the sales floor, tester and product replenishment and stockroom.
- Support floor moves and implementation of promotions while ensuring consistent delivery of housekeeping, presentation and personal grooming standards.
- Act responsible and positively at all times, ensuring Sunday Riley codes of practice, health and safety are adhered to and followed.
- Ensure, record and report the availability of listed products, visual merchandising adherence, testers, sachets and samples.
- Achieve and exceed store sales target & personal sales target.
- Achieve and exceed ATV & AUS targets.
- Provide exceptional customer experience/journey and growth/development of customer database.
- Ensure visual merchandising executed within store in line with brand guidelines.
- Execute effective in-store events to drive sales.
- Manage effective admin tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail, sales and/or beauty industry experience, preferably in skincare.
- Possession of a Beauty Therapy Qualification is desired but not essential.

- Strong aptitude for product knowledge, brand messaging and selling.

Work Location, Territory, and Work Week
This role is based in‑store. This is a full‑time role with 2 days off per week. The Retail Sales Specialist is responsible for adhering to the schedule set out by the Account Executive, which requires a minimum of 3 weekends a month to be worked.
