Minimum Requirements
- Two years’ of experience in a scheduling role within appropriate commodity industries (crude, fuel oil, refined products preferred)
- Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, economics or equivalent preferred
- Experience with trade capture, scheduling, finance, and risk management systems
- Specialized knowledge and skills in a variety of scheduling processes and activities
- Strong understanding of commodity trade positioning
- Superior analytical, quantitative skills and accounting acumen
- In-depth understanding of waterborne and pipeline operational requirements
Responsibilities
- Responsible for arranging all transportation requirements for the execution of trading activity
- Develop comprehensive delivery schedule and communicate to key stakeholders on a daily basis
- Assist in reviewing and improving processes for the department to optimize the company portfolio
- Anticipates patterns and links; looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications
- Works autonomously within established procedures while adding value with continuous improvement
- Utilizing experience level to promote cross training and develop colleagues through knowledge sharing
- Apply critical thinking for new and innovative solutions to complex operational problem solving
- Ability to handle unexpected operational issues and provide guidance during off-peak hours
Location and other Key Details
- You will work out of our London Trading Office, located at 10 Brook Street W1
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work and reside in London, UK at the time of application
