As a Powerplant Engineer within Sunclass Airlines, you will have a key role within our Technical Department and CAMO organization focusing on either our A321ceo/neo or A330neo fleets. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities related to the maintenance, repair, and airworthiness within Powerplant Engineering and be involved in many other areas of the Technical Department as needed.
Amongst others, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with all continuous airworthiness requirements associated with EASA Part CAMO within Powerplant Engineering
- Providing Powerplant Engineering advice and support to all the key areas of the airline
- Providing engine shop visit oversight, liaising with the applicable MROs to ensure that the repair and overhaul of engines/APUs comply with regulatory and contractual requirements
- Overseeing fleet reliability, monitoring fleet technical performance, developing improvement plans as required and generating the bi-weekly Engine Health Report.
- Performing Powerplant defect analysis, including monitoring and investigation of repetitive defects
- Assessing and managing technical publications including Service Bulletins, Regulatory Authority information and Airworthiness Directives to maintain and improve the fleet
- Liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors on all associated engineering and contractual/spares provisioning issues
- Involvement in the negotiation of relevant contracts and the subsequent ownership of those contracts
- Out of hours technical support and necessary communication with OEMs to enable the aircraft's safe return to service (AOG Support)
Who we are looking for
Must haves:
- Degree in relevant Engineering subject or equivalent industry experience
- Thorough understanding of airworthiness regulations (EASA) and demonstrated experience in compliance management
- Specific experience with either CFM56/LEAP (A321) or Trent 7000 (A330) engine types
- Experience in Supplier and Contract Management
Preferred:
- Experience with AMOS or similar Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Experience with aircraft maintenance programmes, reliability and engine condition monitoring
- Experience of successfully managing complex engineering projects relevant to your field of responsibility
- Experience of working to company procedures
- Computer & IT literate
