About the Role
Location: Yate, Bristol
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Paid overtime available
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our engineering team at our Yate manufacturing site. This is a days-based role offering a strong balance of planned maintenance, reactive fault-finding, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement work. You’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production, and maintaining safe and compliant site operations. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a stable Monday–Friday environment with paid overtime available.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site equipment and systems
- Supporting production by reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
- Managing maintenance schedules and work orders through SAP/CMMS
- Diagnosing faults and implementing practical engineering solutions
- Coordinating contractors and issuing Permit to Work documentation
- Ensuring safe systems of work, including isolation and lock-off procedures
- Monitoring equipment condition and identifying improvement opportunities
- Ordering and sourcing replacement parts as required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will ideally have:
- Level 3 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Completed apprenticeship in Electrical or Maintenance Engineering
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience using SAP or CMMS systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Desirable:
- 18th Edition qualification
- ONC/HNC or equivalent
- COMPEX / ATEX experience
