Operations & Client Technology Executive in Southampton

Southampton Full-Time On-site

Sunblink is a launchpad and strategic partner for recruitment entrepreneurs, helping talented recruiters build and grow successful independent recruitment businesses. We provide technology, systems, expertise and operational support that allow our customers to focus on recruiting and growing their businesses.

Our approach is built around three values: Responsiveness, Life-changing and Personal touch.

The Role

We are looking for an early-career professional with work experience who is keen to learn, develop and build a career combining client support, technology, operations and project management.

You will work directly with one of the Co-Founders of Sunblink and our customers, becoming a key point of contact for client technology and operational support. Initially, you will work closely with the Co-Founder to resolve queries, coordinate changes and manage projects, but as your knowledge and experience develop, you will increasingly take ownership of these areas independently. This could include helping a customer introduce a new system, resolving an integration issue with a technology provider, or exploring how AI or automation could improve a particular workflow.

You do not need to be an IT expert β€” curiosity about technology, problem solving, communication and a willingness to learn are more important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for customer technology and operational queries, taking ownership through to resolution and using good judgement to determine what can be resolved directly, what requires support from a technology provider and what needs to be escalated internally.
  • Take ownership of multiple customer requests, projects and priorities, proactively following them through to completion while maintaining accurate records and follow-ups.
  • Provide first-line support and liaise with technology providers where specialist assistance is required.
  • Coordinate and project manage technology changes, upgrades, integrations and new system implementations.
  • Keep customers informed of progress and ensure projects are delivered effectively and with minimal disruption.
  • Explore how emerging recruitment technology, AI and automation can improve customer workflows, efficiency and productivity, helping Sunblink and its customers understand and adopt new opportunities.
  • Proactively identify technology and workflow improvements that could increase customer efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Sunblink's own internal technology, systems and workflows, and help implement changes that improve efficiency and the way our team works.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues experienced by the Sunblink team, working closely with colleagues to understand and resolve problems directly or, where necessary, coordinating with the relevant technology provider for additional support.
  • Manage multiple customer requests, projects and priorities while maintaining accurate records and follow-ups.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of working in an office environment and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • A strong interest in technology and how it can improve business processes and workflows.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a practical, logical approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • An interest in project management and seeing tasks through from start to finish.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to see problems and tasks through to resolution.
  • Good judgement and the confidence to make decisions independently as your knowledge and experience develop.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems and software.
  • Experience of working within a recruitment agency or other recruitment role.
  • Experience with CRM, ATS or other recruitment business systems.
  • Customer or technical support experience.
  • Experience coordinating projects, process improvements, automation or AI tools.

Working at Sunblink

Sunblink has an office in Southampton and offers flexible hybrid working. The successful candidate can also work from the Southampton office full-time if they prefer. Working at Sunblink provides exposure to a growing portfolio of entrepreneurial recruitment businesses, each with their own systems, technology and ways of working. This creates an unusual opportunity to build broad experience across recruitment technology, AI, automation, operations and project delivery rather than working within a single recruitment business.

We are particularly supportive of people early in their careers and, as your knowledge and confidence develop, you will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership and responsibility and develop your expertise in recruitment technology and operations.
