About the Role
Our client, a busy GP practice based in Hammersmith, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Summariser to join their team on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical knowledge and experience using SystmOne to contribute to their patient care services.
You will be responsible for reviewing and summarising patient medical records, ensuring accurate coding and documentation to maintain high standards of patient information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and summarise incoming patient medical records to a high standard within agreed timescales
- Extract and code relevant clinical information using SNOMED CT codes (and Read codes/CTV3 where applicable)
- Produce comprehensive electronic summaries using the SystmOne clinical system
- Maximise Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) points through accurate data extraction
- Ensure all work complies with data protection and confidentiality protocols
- Work independently and as part of the wider clinical administrative team
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years' experience as a Medical Summariser within a GP practice or healthcare setting
- Proficiency with SystmOne clinical system
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical coding (SNOMED CT/Read codes)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Valid mandatory training certificates
- Clean DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- Ability to provide references covering the last 5 years of employment
