We are looking for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse to take on a pivotal role within a busy private surgical programme. This is a senior, autonomous position with extended clinical responsibilities spanning the full surgical day from pre-operative assessment through to post-operative discharge.

You will be the primary clinical nursing presence on every day of surgery, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and ODPs to deliver the highest standard of patient care in a CQC-regulated environment.

  • Performing scrub, circulating, and anaesthetic nurse roles across a range of elective procedures
  • Conducting pre-operative patient assessments and medical history reviews
  • Coordinating and completing surgical pathway documentation across the full day of surgery
  • Overseeing recovery room care and supporting safe patient discharge
  • Handling and labelling histopathology and blood samples
  • Ensuring ongoing CQC compliance, audit participation, and governance standards

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

  • Proven scrub, circulating, and recovery experience
  • Experience with surgical pathway documentation and pre-operative assessment
  • Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards
  • Experience in private / independent healthcare
  • Familiarity with aesthetic or reconstructive surgical procedures
  • Experience across multiple surgical specialties
