Estimator - Civil Engineering
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects in the Caribbean.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to work on large-scale civil engineering schemes while joining an experienced international management team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications.
Assess project risks, opportunities and commercial considerations.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
Prepare pricing submissions and supporting documentation.
Contribute to value engineering and alternative construction methodologies where appropriate.
Requirements
Approximately 10+ years' estimating experience within civil engineering.
Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor or a large civil engineering subcontractor.
Strong background pricing heavy civils or major infrastructure projects.
Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
