Working within a supportive and professional transport team, you will be part of a busy UK desk, coordinating full-load movements across the UK and ensuring a first-class service to customers. This is a dynamic role where strong organisational skills and the ability to problem-solve are essential.
As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for managing driver schedules, routes, and compliance with UK road transport legislation, while also ensuring deliveries are handled in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

The Role
- Plan and coordinate daily full-load UK transport operations (occasional groupage).
- Manage driver and vehicle scheduling effectively.
- Ensure deliveries are cost-efficient, compliant, and on time.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure legal compliance.
- Participate in on-call rota (1 in 3 weekends, plus occasional weekday phone cover).
- Monday to Friday, rotating shifts:
- Week 1: 7am-4pm
- Week 2: 8am-5pm
- Week 3: 9am-6pm
You Will Need
- 2-3 years\’ experience in a UK transport planning desk role.
- Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Competent IT skills with experience of transport planning software.
