Are you an experienced Transport Manager ready to take ownership of a high-performing transport operation? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established logistics and storage business, operating a modern fleet of HGVs and refrigerated vehicles across the UK & ROI. You will oversee a team of transport planners and coordinators, ensuring compliance, efficiency and exceptional customer service within a growing, professional logistics environment.
The Role
- Lead and develop a team of transport planners, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Oversee compliance with UK & ROI O-Licence requirements and act as CPC holder.
- Monitor driver hours, tachographs and fleet compliance.
- Analyse costs, identify efficiencies and present reports to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with customers, maintaining high service levels and strong relationships.
- Utilise modern TMS software to monitor KPI performance and routing efficiency.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate outbound movements.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Planner or Transport Manager position.
- CPC qualification essential.
- Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
- Proven experience managing budgets and improving operational efficiency.
- Excellent IT and reporting ability.
- Knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics desirable.
Benefits
