A growing and highly respected logistics and manufacturing group in Northern Ireland is seeking a HSEQ, Compliance & Sustainability Coordinator to join its expanding team. This is a newly created role, designed to support the continued growth of the wider HSEQ and compliance function across the group following ongoing business expansion and recent acquisitions.
Working directly alongside the current HSEQ lead, the successful individual will gain broad exposure across operational compliance, environmental initiatives, sustainability projects and wider strategic group activities. The business is intentionally flexible regarding sector background and experience level, with the key focus being attitude, initiative and long-term potential.
The Role
- Supporting day-to-day HSEQ and compliance activities across the group
- Assisting with internal audits, reporting and compliance documentation
- Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives and projects
- Assisting with operational investigations and reactive matters where required
- Supporting wider continuous improvement and process enhancement projects
- Building strong working relationships across operational teams and departments
- Assisting with policy implementation and maintaining compliance standards
- Supporting strategic HSEQ and operational growth projects across the wider business
The Person
- Background within Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Compliance, Auditing or a related field
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach
- Desire to learn, develop and build a long-term career
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving operational environment
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the confidence to use initiative
