As Inventory Controller, you will be the first point of contact for returning distribution drivers once they have completed their deliveries. If any deliveries have been failed, you will be responsible for accepting the products and ensuring they are coded for returns. Working alongside the existing Transport & Warehousing teams, this role will involve using various Computer Systems, including the WMS to ensure stock is tagged correctly before being put back into the Warehouse. Therefore, attention to detail is critical in this role.

The Role:- Check all invoices/documents have been signed and returned
- Check all returned product and make sure returns are coded/tagged
- Oversee returns and ensure process is adhered to
- Check product list under HACCP regulations
- Release manifest when driver check-in process has been completed
- Follow SSOW and SOPs and immediately report any unsafe conditions
- Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures
- Daily cycle counting and inventory integrity across all zones
- Follow procedures to comply with HACCP policy
- Working across Ambient, Fridge & Freezer Areas
- Any 5/7- 6am or 8am start times
- Experienced in Inventory/Stock Control
- Comfortable with Excel, Email and Word; WMS system experience would be a bonus
- Attention to detail and accuracy is key
- Effective communication skills to explain and enforce company policies and procedures
- Organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Previous Stock/inventory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience operating an electric pallet truck or forklift would be an advantage
