Are you an organised and proactive administrator working within transport and logistics? We are recruiting on behalf of a growing logistics business seeking a Transport Administrator to support the day‑to‑day running of a busy Groupage operation. This is a newly strengthened position created as a result of continued business growth and expansion, offering an excellent opportunity to join a fast‑paced and supportive operational environment.

Working closely with planning, transport and warehouse teams, you will play a key role in ensuring operational processes run efficiently while supporting the wider team with administration, communication and service coordination.

The Role
  • Provide administrative support to the Groupage planning and operations teams.
  • Assist with shipment updates, service tracking and operational coordination.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and subcontractors regarding operational queries.
  • Process transport documentation and operational paperwork accurately.
  • Support POD management and customer service enquiries.
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Communicate effectively across transport, warehouse and customer service functions.
  • Assist with reporting and operational performance monitoring.
  • Support the team during peak periods to ensure smooth operational flow.
The Person
  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics, warehouse or administration role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience within transport planning, groupage, pallet network or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of transport documentation and POD processes.
  • Experience working with transport management or warehouse management systems.
What's on Offer
  • Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturday morning cover may be required)
  • 10:00am - 7:00pm / 11:00am - 8:00pm (depending on operational requirements)
  • Hourly rate £13.50-£14.50 depending on experience
