Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an Industrial Electrician to support our growing Power & HVAC division in Alberta.

In this role, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and temporary power solutions - working in the shop and in the field to assist with customer project installations and demobilizations.

Most of the travel will be local within Metro Vancouver.

  • Industrial heaters and HVAC electrical systems
  • Pumps and related support equipment
  • Diesel engines and associated electrical controls

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on: Power generation equipment and generators
  • Electrical distribution systems and switchgear
  • Industrial control systems, PLCs, and VFDs
  • Temporary power setups and job site systems
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues
  • Complete preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and safety
  • Work independently as a field technician across multiple customer sites
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety, and environmental standards
  • Support commissioning and setup of temporary power and equipment installations

What We're Looking For

  • Industrial Electrician experience in commercial or industrial settings
  • Journeyperson Industrial Electrician certification (Red Seal required)

• Strong knowledge of

  • Power generation systems
  • PLCs, VFDs, and electrical controls
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems in the field
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and personal hand tools
  • Experience with generators, diesel engines, HVAC electrical systems, or pumps is considered an asset.
