Mastercare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in assisted living and in private home settings. The ideal candidates have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and any other essential necessities that our clients may need.
- Offering emotional support and companionship; while engaging the clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Assisting with medication reminders and ensuring that medications are taken according to prescribed schedules.
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences (feeding assistance if required).
- Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Possibly assisting with or providing transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.
- Observing and reporting changes in the care recipient's physical or mental health to medical professionals or family members.
- Documenting care activities, daily routines, and any notable developments.
- Ensuring a safe environment and being prepared to respond to emergencies or health crises.
- Demonstrating a caring and empathetic attitude towards the client; with the ability to handle challenging situations with patience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with care recipients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Capability to assist with physical tasks and provide support with mobility.
- Consistency and reliability in fulfilling scheduled caregiving duties.
