As an Apprentice Fleet Services Administrator, you’ll be right at the heart of supporting vehicle operations, helping manage essential data and processes, and playing a key role in making sure our fleet runs efficiently.

On our 18-month Apprenticeship programme, you will learn the skills to become a successful Fleet Services Administrator with a fantastic range of future career options ahead of you. Following successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be offered a permanent role, with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll work with the Fleet Operations Team at our central Support Office, where you will learn to:

  • Build a strong understanding of fleet operations, developing the ability to deliver all aspects of operational, compliance, procurement and financial administration
  • Become skilled in the use of relevant IT packages and systems
  • Understand and implement a range of internal processes and procedures, including audit and record management
  • Produce operational and performance data, and develop the ability to analyse information to help improve service performance and efficiency
  • Develop a strong understanding of fleet compliance and audit management systems
  • Build comprehensive business knowledge and an understanding of company processes, to enhance your ability to support customers and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders and a wide range of internal customers including finance, procurement, safety and operational teams
  • Effectively deal with operational queries, providing an efficient service supported by effective communication and the ability to produce accurate documentation
  • Become an ambassador for our 'Customer First' culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your customers informed, so that they feel truly valued
  • Expand your team working skills with your colleagues and the wider Sunbelt Rentals team
  • Manage a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment, learning to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive company induction, role‑specific training, and apprenticeship support. You will become a part of a larger apprentice cohort where you will be able to form lifelong relationships and engage in a wider support network. We’ll also support your personal growth and development in line with your Sunbelt Rentals career aspirations. You will attend both in‑house and supplier courses to expand your product knowledge and professional skills.

Apprenticeship Training: You will be completing a level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered using a combination of:

  • Workplace experience to gain practical skills
  • Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor
  • Industry recognised training leading to an Apprenticeship qualification
  • Additional internal training workshops delivered both virtually and at Sunbelt Rentals locations
