Our apprentices are the future of our business. On our 18-month apprenticeship programme you will learn the skills to become a successful EUC Engineer with a fantastic range of future career options ahead of you. With the current levels of advancement in technology, there could not be a more exciting time to join us and following successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be offered a permanent role, with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry.
You’ll work within our central support office where you will learn to:
- Work effectively with members of our IT Team, undertaking a rotational programme and gaining a wide variety of experience that will provide an insight into all departmental functions. This will include working with our technical experts and specialist teams in Project Management, Data and BI, Development, End User Computing, Customer Engagement and Infrastructure and Security.
- Develop your technical and professional skills, being part of significant ongoing projects and by providing IT support across the business.
- Understand your preferred specialist area, allowing you to choose which career pathway you would like to follow after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
- Become skilled in the use of relevant IT packages and systems.
- Understand and implement internal processes and procedures.
- Communicate with colleagues and customers on the telephone, via email and Teams.
- Effectively deal with queries, providing an efficient service supported by effective communication and the ability to produce accurate documentation.
- Engage with colleagues from across multiple areas of the organisation, expanding your team working and communication skills.
- Manage a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment, learning to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
We’ll provide you with a comprehensive company induction, role-specific training, and apprenticeship support. You will become a part of a larger apprentice cohort where you will be able to form lifelong relationships and engage in a wider support network.
We’ll support your personal growth and development in line with your Sunbelt Rentals career aspirations. This role includes the opportunity to progress to a higher-level qualification in a chosen specialism following departmental rotations and successful programme completion.
Apprenticeship Training: You will be completing a level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered using a combination of:
- Workplace experience to gain practical skills.
- Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor & a range of colleagues.
- Industry recognised training leading to an apprenticeship qualification. This is delivered remotely but may include travel to attend some face-to-face sessions at a training centre.
- Inclusion in relevant Sunbelt Rentals training sessions to develop professional skills. This may require some travel to other business locations.
