Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, we’re looking for a Transport & Logistics Manager who will thrive in a busy environment. The Transport and Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the safe, timely and cost-effective transportation of film and television equipment to studios, production facilities and on-location shoots throughout London and the UK. This role is critical in supporting production schedules, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and maintaining high service standards for production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all transport and logistics operations for film and television equipment, including cameras, lighting, grip and technical assets.
- Coordinate deliveries and collections to studios, production offices and location shoots, often to tight and changing schedules.
- Manage a fleet of vehicles and/or third-party transport providers, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Lead, schedule and support drivers and logistics staff, ensuring clear communication of call times, routes and on-site requirements.
- Liaise closely with production managers, unit managers, technical teams and warehouse staff to align logistics with production needs.
- Oversee loading and unloading procedures to ensure equipment is handled safely and securely.
- Ensure compliance with UK transport legislation, health and safety standards, working time regulations and driver hours.
- Manage risk assessments, method statements and location-specific access requirements.
- Monitor transport costs, fuel usage and supplier performance, identifying efficiencies where possible.
- Respond proactively to last-minute changes, delays or issues, providing practical solutions under pressure.
- Maintain accurate records relating to schedules, deliveries, vehicle checks and compliance documentation.
