This is a hands‑on workshop‑based role where you will be the technical expert ensuring our loadbanks, transformers, generators, battery energy storage units (BESS), UPS units, and distribution equipment are always project‑ready. Your work is the foundation for the success and reliability of our field operations.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and test certificates for all work undertaken.
  • Workshop & Yard Operations:
    • Work closely with the Yard Hands to prepare and kit equipment for specific projects, ensuring all components are present and correct.
    • Fault‑find and troubleshoot equipment returns, identifying issues and implementing effective repairs.
    • Maintain the workshop and yard areas allocated to Critical Power, ensuring they are clean, safe, and organised.
    • Manage workshop tools and test equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
  • Technical & Logistics Support:
    • Provide remote technical support and guidance to the Field Service Team when on‑site.
    • Assist the Operations Manager with sourcing parts and managing workshop stock levels.
    • Occasionally assist with the loading and unloading of equipment, verifying its condition upon return from hire.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Adhere to all company and statutory Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations at all times.
    • Participate in risk assessments and follow safe systems of work, including the use of appropriate PPE.
    • Report any near misses, defects, or hazards immediately to the Operations Manager.
