In the role of a Crane/Lifting Engineer you will be joining our Lifting specialist team. As the largest dedicated lifting and safety provider in the UK, we have a vast selection of equipment for hire or sale, together with our repair, test and inspection service. We stock a wide range from leading manufacturers which is all CE compliant, designed to reduce the health and safety risks and backed by a full service and maintenance history. Our technicians make sure it arrives on-site certified and ready for action.
As a Crane/Lifting Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out all types of crane maintenance, repairs, on-site inspection, testing, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of lifting and handling equipment. Maintaining and repairing equipment within the range, from Block Grabs and Hoists to Lanyards and Rescue Winches, along with a dedicated repair and inspection service.
You will carry out fault finding procedures, recognise the defective items, conduct the necessary repairs effectively and restore the equipment to a safe working condition. You will also have the capability, when designated, to organise, progress and carry out major installations and have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop.

To succeed as a Lifting Engineer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
- Experienced working within a crane maintenance and testing environment
- Experience of using heavy lifting gear or with a strong mechanical engineering background
- Good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site
- Good time management skills
- Driving licence
