The Fleet Safety Intelligence & Intervention Lead is responsible for translating Samsara ADSS data into actionable safety insight, supporting behavioural change, and reducing fleet risk across the business. The role will proactively identify high-risk trends, support targeted interventions, and enable depot and operational teams to improve driver safety performance. The role will also focus on continual improvement through the ADSS function, create weekly/monthly reports and insights, generating areas of safety focus and support the Fleet Safety Team with the generation of bulletins, alerts and campaign materials. This role provides insight and analytical support and does not hold operational accountability for fleet safety performance, which remains with Fleet Safety Managers and operational teams. The role will be based from our Warrington Support Office and occasional travel may be required.
Role Responsibilities
- Insight & Risk Identification
- Identify high-risk drivers, depots, and trends using Samsara data
- Analyse behavioural patterns (e.g. distraction, speeding, fatigue indicators)
- Produce targeted risk insights for operational teams
- Highlight emerging risks and focus areas across the business
- Intervention & Performance Improvement
- Recommend and track interventions (coaching, campaigns, comms)
- Support depot managers in addressing high-risk behaviours by directing them to available resources
- Support the Fleet Safety Managers to monitor effectiveness of interventions
- Strategic Reporting
- Support the team to develop meaningful KPIs
- Link data to: Incident reduction, Claims trends, Driver safety performance
- Governance & Compliance
- Support the appropriate use of driver monitoring systems (GDPR / fairness)
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails to ensure defensible processes
- System Management & Administration
- Superuser on the Samsara ADSS platform
- Monitor the portal and ensure data integrity
- Add and remove vehicles and personnel as required
- Manage access to the system across all BU’s
- Liaise with Samsara on technical developments
- Create and run weekly/monthly reports
- Own the @ADSS email
- Support specific ADSS requests from the field
- Safety Culture & Communication Support
- Support the Fleet Safety Team with the development of driver communications, alerts and campaign materials
- Support the business in strengthening safety culture through insight
