- Provide direct line management and support to depot managers, leading, motivating, developing, and supporting their individual business units.
- Deliver sustained growth and profitability of the region through operational and service excellence.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimise depot operations, including order fulfilment, inventory management, and customer journey.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools such as Power BI, taking proactive measures to address any issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive and continuously improve Return on Investment (ROI) across all depots and the region, ensuring that resources, assets, and initiatives deliver maximum value and contribute to the overall profitability and efficiency of the business.
- Achieve and progress upon a regional Return on Investment (ROI) target of 15–20%, with year-on-year improvement expected.

To be considered for the Regional Operations Manager role, we’re looking for someone who has previous experience in an similar operations/branch management role and can bring the following skill-set:
- Demonstrable and extensive knowledge of the hire and sales industry, including product range, specification, and pricing.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management and the ability to manage complex business/financial data.
- Experience of operational excellence programmes and delivering continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and safety awareness.
- IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Office, business systems, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience of leading change and digital transformation projects
- Experience in multi-site operational management, ideally within rental, logistics, or related sectors.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ILM, CMI, NEBOSH).
