We now have a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Category C+E Driver to support our Service Centre operations, helping us to deliver our promise of quality products and services on time, every time for our customers.
Every day brings something new – travelling to different locations, meeting customers, delivering and collecting a wide range of plant hire equipment – from excavators and telehandlers to generators and scissor lifts – to name just a few. You’ll also demonstrate how to operate the equipment, so we’ll ensure that you have the training and skills needed to carry this out in a professional and safe manner.

You’ll be the face of Sunbelt Rentals, the first person that most of our customers will see, so we’ll expect you to be a great brand ambassador. You’ll benefit from a good work/life balance working pattern of Monday-Friday 42.5 hours per week, with the potential for overtime by mutual agreement. Some of our vehicle fleet have sleeper cabs and there may be an occasional requirement for an overnight stay.

About You
From day one our focus will be on your training and development, a key part of which will be attending our company induction and Sunbelt Driver Training course. Your manager will work with you to identify your personal development needs and career progression plan, including opportunities to gain new qualifications. We’re committed to developing our team-mates and promoting internally wherever possible.
What you will need to bring to the role:
- You will be a fully competent HGV driver with licence category C+E, preferably with a clean driving licence (no more than six points)
- Driver CPC and Digital Driver Card is essential
- Experience in the movement of Plant or Powered Access equipment with IPAF or ADR certification desirable
- It’s essential that you have good customer service and communication skills with the ability to build good relationships and represent Sunbelt Rentals in a positive manner
- A flexible and adaptable approach you will be an effective team player
- You’ll be articulate and organised, with a good level of attention to detail and accuracy
A strong commitment to and awareness of Health and Safety as you’ll be required to comply with H&S legislation and Sunbelt Rentals health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
