At Sunamp, we’re advancing thermal energy storage through innovative Phase Change Materials (PCMs). We’re looking for a Materials Applications Scientist to help us develop, test and improve the materials at the heart of our technology.
Experience with of electrochemistry, metallurgy or corrosion science is also highly desirable for this role.
This is a hands-on scientific role where your experimental work will have a direct impact on product performance, quality and development.
What you’ll be working on:
- Designing and conducting laboratory experiments to investigate material compatibility and performance.
- Applying analytical chemistry techniques to develop robust testing and quality control methods.
- Generating and interpreting experimental data to inform technical decisions.
- Supporting the development and scale-up of PCM manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with Materials, Operations and wider teams to solve technical challenges.
What you’ll bring:
- A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or a related discipline.
- At least three years’ relevant scientific or materials development experience.
- Strong laboratory testing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to turn complex experimental findings into clear, actionable insights.
Experience in electrochemistry, corrosion science, metallurgy or manufacturing quality control would be particularly valuable.
You’ll be applying your expertise to real-world materials challenges, contributing to innovative products and helping advance sustainable thermal energy storage technology.
