The Medical Dermatology Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the business objectives assigned. Responsibilities include hiring, leading, coaching and managing a team of Territory Managers in promoting Sun’s Branded Dermatology products. The regional sales manager ensures that business opportunities are optimized throughout the region and within targeted physician offices, key clinics and teaching hospital accounts that specialize in dermatology. The Dermatology Regional Sales Manager will demonstrate excellence in the execution of assigned strategies and tactics along with the development of regional and local business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Area Sales Director.
- Responsible for full achievement of assigned business objectives.
- Responsible for building and leading a field sales team consisting of Dermatology Territory Managers.
- Works closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Field Reimbursement, Managed Markets and leadership to manage a commercial sales team.
- Responsible for the understanding and utilization of sales reports, CRM, and forecasts.
- Responsible for managing Sales budgets.
- Responsible for coaching to the sales model and training needs for the sales team in coordination with Sales Training.
- Coaches team on Market Access understanding, opportunity identification and pull-through of Market Access opportunities.
- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Works with Human Resources and Leadership to develop sales team policies and ensures adherence to those and any Sun corporate policies as appropriate.
- Works closely with Sales Training to execute POA and National Sales meetings.
- Participates in national, regional and local meetings and leads all regional sales activities including personnel matters.
- Directly manages Dermatology Territory Managers as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree required, Advanced Degree a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical experience.
- 2+ years’ experience as Regional or District Sales Manager (leading sales representatives) or equivalent field sales management level experience.
- Ability to lead, develop and coach high performing, diverse teams.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Thorough understanding and application skills with Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated clinical acumen.
- Strong ability to collaborate, innovate and deliver results.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- Experience with managing and communicating complex reimbursement and access issues in a highly competitive market.
- Experience leading high performing Dermatology teams.

Compensation and Benefits
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $169k to $215k. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including geographical location and experience. This position is part of an IC Commission Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
