Job Summary
As the Pool Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the pool area, including overseeing staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will lead the pool team, coordinate maintenance activities, and implement best practices to maintain high standards of facility operation.
Job Duties
- Manage and lead the pool team, including Pool Supervisors and Attendants, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Oversee the budget for pool operations, including expenditure on maintenance, supplies, and staff.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to, including the completion of site-specific Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
- Maintain high standards of water quality, conducting regular tests and coordinating necessary adjustments.
- Monitor and manage pool plant maintenance, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and coordinating with contractors as needed.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and strategies to improve pool functionality and guest satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to the General Manager on pool operations, including financial performance and staff performance.
Requirements
- National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) is an advantage but not essential. Full training available.
- Extensive experience in pool management or a similar leadership role within a pool environment.
- Strong knowledge of pool operations, water quality management, and plant room maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse operational performance and implement improvements effectively.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required.
- This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a check against the Children's Barred List.
