We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bar Cleaner to join our team. As a Bar Cleaner, you will maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our bar and venue, ensuring a spotless and welcoming environment for guests. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail, contributing to the overall guest experience by keeping the venue clean, tidy, and ready for service.
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitise all areas of the bar, including countertops, tables, seating areas, and bar equipment, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Maintain the entire venue, including floors, restrooms, entrances, and other public areas, ensuring they are tidy and presentable.
- Empty and clean waste bins, dispose of waste and recycling properly.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the supervisor of inventory needs. Replenish soap, toilet paper, and other necessities in restrooms.
- Wash and polish glassware, cutlery, and bar utensils, ensuring they are clean and damage-free.
- Follow health and safety regulations, handle cleaning chemicals and equipment properly, and report hazards or maintenance issues.
- Assist bar staff by maintaining a clean work environment, including behind the bar and storage areas, and help with additional cleaning tasks as needed.
- Perform opening and closing cleaning routines to prepare the venue for service and leave it in excellent condition.
- Help set up and break down the venue for events, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for guests.
Requirements
- Experience in a cleaning role, especially in hospitality, is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
